Videos you generate in the Gemini app carry the same white sparkle as Gemini images, in the bottom-right corner of every frame. This Gemini video watermark remover finds it, works out how strongly it was blended in, and reverses that blend in each frame before saving a new MP4.
All of it happens in your browser, using the video decoder and encoder already built into it. The clip is not sent anywhere, which also means there is no upload to wait for and no size-based pricing.
How a Gemini video watermark remover finds the sparkle
In a video the background moves and the watermark does not. The tool samples two frames for every second of the clip and averages the bottom-right corner: moving scenery blurs away and the sparkle stays sharp. It then searches that average for the exact shape, position and size of the mark.
In the landscape and portrait 720p clips we tested, the sparkle is 48 pixels wide and sits 96 pixels from the right and bottom edges. The Gemini video watermark remover does not rely on those numbers alone — it searches the corner every time, and if nothing there matches the sparkle closely enough, it says so and leaves the video as it is.
Why the strength is measured through the whole clip
The sparkle is white blended in at roughly 30% opacity, much as it is on Gemini images. But the effective strength is not the same everywhere. Compression softens it differently from clip to clip, a nearly white scene flattens it, and a video that was extended in Gemini can carry the mark twice over the part that existed before the extension. Reverse it too hard and you dig a dark star into the frame; too gently and a pale one stays behind.
So the strength is measured at every sampled moment, smoothed, and applied frame by frame. Where it jumps — at the seam of an extended video, for example — each frame near the jump is checked on its own and gets whichever value leaves it cleanest.
What happens to picture and sound
A video cannot be edited in place the way a PNG can. Every frame has to be decoded, fixed in the corner and encoded again, so the Gemini video watermark remover saves a new MP4 rather than a byte-for-byte copy. It encodes at about the original bitrate, and in practice the difference is hard to see, but it is not lossless and we do not describe it that way.
Sound is treated differently. The audio track is copied into the new file exactly as it was, without being re-encoded, whenever MP4 can hold its format — which is the case for Gemini downloads. If a browser ever cannot carry the sound across, the result says so plainly instead of handing you a silent file without warning.
Check the corner before you keep it
When the new video is ready, you see the same moment from the original and the cleaned file side by side, cropped to the corner. The cleaned crop is taken from the file you are about to download, not from a preview, so what you see is what you get. You can also play the full result on the page.
On busy, moving footage the corner looks untouched. On large flat areas — a grey sky, a plain wall — a very faint outline can remain if you zoom in on a paused frame. We would rather tell you that here than have you find it later.
Gemini video watermark remover limits
On a computer, videos up to 10 minutes, 4K and 500 MB are supported. On a phone the limit is 3 minutes at up to 1080p, because encoding is much heavier there. It needs a browser with built-in video encoding; if yours does not have it, the Gemini video watermark remover tells you before it starts.
On a recent computer a one-minute clip takes a few seconds; on a phone it takes longer. Keep the tab open until it finishes, and use the file downloaded from Gemini rather than a screen recording or a copy passed through a chat app.
What it does not do

It does not touch SynthID, the invisible signal Google embeds during generation. That stays in the video.
It does not yet handle videos made in Flow or clips carrying a small “Veo” text mark instead of the sparkle.
It does not remove logos, captions or other watermarks that were not added by Gemini.
It does not repair a mark that was moved or blurred by cropping, resizing or re-recording the video.

Will the cleaned video look worse than the original?
It is re-encoded, so it is not identical, but it is encoded at about the original bitrate and in our tests the difference is not visible at normal viewing size. Only the corner is changed on purpose.
Does the sound survive?
Yes. For Gemini downloads the audio track is copied into the new MP4 unchanged. If a browser cannot carry the sound across for some other format, the result tells you before you download.
Why does it say no watermark was found?
Either the video has no Gemini sparkle, or the mark no longer matches: cropping, resizing, screen recording and chat apps all move or blur it. Download the original from Gemini and try again. The tool does not guess, so a video without a clear match is left untouched.
Does it remove the invisible SynthID watermark?
No. SynthID is not an overlay; it is part of how the video was generated, and this tool makes no attempt to detect, alter or remove it. Only the visible sparkle is reversed.
Can I use it on a phone?
Yes. The Gemini video watermark remover works in a recent mobile browser for videos up to 3 minutes and 1080p. Longer or larger clips are better handled on a computer, and the page will tell you if a video is over the phone limit.
