How the Gemini Watermark Remover works
Gemini adds its mark by mixing white into your pixels at a fixed strength. A fixed mix can be undone exactly — no AI needed to imagine what was there.
Gemini places it at a fixed size — 48 or 96 pixels — a set distance from the bottom-right corner.
Each pixel under the mark is solved back to its original value. Everything else is copied through untouched.

Because the repair is arithmetic rather than reconstruction, the surrounding image is never touched, re-rendered, or smoothed. The only pixels that change are the ones the watermark was drawn over.
Results download as PNG on purpose. Re-encoding as JPEG would compress the freshly repaired area a second time and add blocky artefacts exactly where you just cleaned up. Lossless output keeps the repair intact.
One honest caveat: the reversal assumes the watermark pixels are unchanged. A file straight from Gemini satisfies that. A screenshot, a resized copy, or a re-saved JPEG does not, so the result may keep a faint outline.
Worth knowing before you start: since August 2026, Google has offered a setting that turns the visible mark off before you generate. It is available to most users, though in a few regions — India, South Korea and Vietnam among them — it requires a higher subscription tier. The invisible SynthID marking stays either way.

To be precise: the page itself does load over the network, like any website — our code, styles, fonts and the sample images. So you will see some network activity in Developer Tools. What you will not see is any request carrying your image. The clearest way to check: once the page has finished loading, turn off your Wi-Fi and process an image. It still works, because nothing needed to leave your device in the first place.
No. Our engine is built to detect one specific watermark pattern used by Google Gemini. It does not work on stock library watermarks — technically, not just as a matter of policy. Removing watermarks from licensed or third-party content may violate copyright law, and we do not support it.
No. SynthID is Google's invisible AI watermark, embedded during image generation. This Gemini watermark remover only targets the visible corner mark — it makes no attempt to detect, alter, or remove SynthID, and we do not offer that as a feature. One thing worth knowing: saving a cleaned image writes a new PNG file, so metadata attached to your original file — including C2PA Content Credentials, if it had any — is not carried over. That is a side effect of re-encoding the image, and it applies to almost any image editor.
